MPOWERMENT MEET for Young Gay & Bi Men

June 22, 2017 @ 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
205 - 568 Seymour St

Mpowerment and Chill means movie night! This a social event where young gay, bi, and queer guys come together to watch and discuss queer-themed media. Come, watch, discuss, and chill.

  • This time we’ll be watching: Paris is Burning, a 1990 documentary about the ball culture of New York City, and the African-American, Latino, gay, and transgender communities involved in it.
  • We will be having post-film discussions afterwards.
  • Snacks will be provided.
  • ACCESSIBILITY: The film will be presented with subtitles. Our space is located on the second floor, accessible by elevator or stairs. Our washroom is gender inclusive, but unfortunately it is not wheelchair accessible.

Mpowerment events are planned by and for young men who are gay, bi, or queer. We invite all guys who like guys and their friends to attend!
This event is located on the traditional territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and Tsleil-Waututh.
